Ideally book four to six weeks before you travel, as some vaccines (such as rabies or hepatitis B) need a course of two or three doses over several weeks. If you are leaving sooner, still contact us. Many vaccines can be given at short notice and we can often help even a few days before departure.
We provide Yellow Fever advice and can confirm current Yellow Fever vaccine and certificate availability when you book, as it is given from designated centres. Yellow Fever is required or recommended for parts of Africa and South America, and some countries ask for a certificate on entry. Call us to check availability at your nearest branch.
Under current World Health Organization guidance, a Yellow Fever certificate is valid for the life of the traveller for most people, so a single dose usually lasts a lifetime. We will advise you on your certificate and any country-specific entry rules for your destination at your appointment.
Yes. Rabies is given as a course of doses before travel and is worth considering for remote trips, long stays or work with animals. Because it is a course, book ahead where possible. See our rabies vaccination page or call for current pricing and to plan your dates.
Yes. Hepatitis A is one of the most common travel vaccines and protects against contaminated food and water, while Hepatitis B is recommended for longer stays, medical or aid work and some adventure travel. Both are available at our Andover, Ludgershall and Tidworth travel clinics.
Yes. Typhoid vaccination is recommended for travel to South Asia, parts of Africa and other regions where food and water hygiene can be a risk, including India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. We can give it the same day in most cases at any of our three branches.
Yes. Meningitis ACWY is recommended for certain destinations and is a mandatory requirement for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia. It is also often advised for students and gap-year travellers. Ask our team whether it is needed for your trip.
Yes. The oral cholera vaccine may be recommended for aid workers, longer trips and travel to areas with poor sanitation or current outbreaks. We will assess your itinerary and advise whether it is worthwhile for your destination.
Yes. Japanese Encephalitis is considered for longer or rural trips to parts of Asia, including Thailand, Vietnam and India, particularly during the wet season or for extended stays. As it is a course, please book ahead so we can plan your doses before you fly.
Yes. The combined tetanus, diphtheria and polio booster is a core travel vaccine and is recommended for many destinations if your last dose was more than ten years ago. We can check your history and top up your protection at your consultation.
Yes. We support Hajj and Umrah pilgrims with the mandatory Meningitis ACWY vaccine and certificate required for a Saudi visa, plus any other recommended travel vaccines. Book early in the pilgrimage season as demand is high across our Andover, Ludgershall and Tidworth branches.
Yes. Our prescriber-led consultations include a malaria risk assessment for your destination, and we can supply suitable antimalarial tablets where appropriate. Malaria protection also includes bite-avoidance advice, which we cover during your appointment.
For Southeast Asia we commonly recommend Hepatitis A and typhoid, with Hepatitis B, rabies and Japanese Encephalitis considered for longer or rural trips, plus malaria advice for some areas. Your exact list depends on where you are going and what you will be doing, which we tailor at your consultation.
For the Indian subcontinent we usually advise Hepatitis A and typhoid as a minimum, with Hepatitis B, rabies and Japanese Encephalitis for longer stays, plus malaria tablets for certain regions. We build your plan around your itinerary and how long you are staying.

Dubai and the UAE usually need your routine vaccines up to date with Hepatitis A and typhoid often advised, Egypt commonly adds Hepatitis A, typhoid and sometimes Hepatitis B, and Brazil may need Yellow Fever plus Hepatitis A and typhoid depending on the region.
